How to Make a Full-Size Brown Paper Christmas Tree

How to Make a Full-Size Brown Paper Christmas Tree
 (no kidding)

Do you like brown paper packaging? I do. I like the natural paper wrapping for presents but having a whole tree of the brown paper packaging? Awesome! Hope you like it!!

So here's how it happened. I bought some Scotch brown postal wrapping paper. It's really thick, surprisingly thick, which is great because it holds its shape really well, too.

I pulled out the roll of paper about 1 yard and started folding the paper into ruffles. Then I stapled to keep them together.

We cut down a small tree and put it in a Christmas tree stand. It's hard finding a perfectly straight tree. :)

Now you take the ruffles you made out of paper and put them on the tree stem, starting with the biggest ruffles.

You need to cut the paper shorter and shorter the further up the tree you go in order to make the tree shape.

I built it all the way up. It is a bit of work. Then I put a paper star on the top using some card stock scrapbooking paper.

I glued on some white pompoms for fun and color.

It took 5 rolls of Scotch brown postal wrapping paper to make this tree.

This looks so pretty and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. It makes me happy just to look at it. That doesn't happen with every project.

Have you seen a wood log angel? Here is one you might like if you like rustic stuff. I do.

Hope you are enjoying the Christmas season, my friends.
