How to Dry Fresh Flowers and a Delightful Foil BBQ Meal

Happy July, Friends!

There's lots of stuff happening in the world to stress about but here in blogland (and in my house) we're concentrating on DIY projects and what is more available right now than flowers? First Day of Home blog shows how to quickly dry flowers with silica gel. You know those little packets that come in shoe boxes? That's silica gel and it takes in moisture so the shoes don't get moldy. Well, it can also take the moisture from flowers to preserve them. She shows exactly how to do this two different ways - with the microwave and without the microwave.. very informative tutorial. Hop on over there.. you know you want to dry those gorgeous flowers in your yard..

Then we have a wonderful foil BBQ meal by Curly Crafty Mom. I have aluminum foil and I am going to be doing that this week! I'm trying really hard to cook foods that are summery. We're not going on vacation this year so I'm trying to make every day a stay-cation. How about you?
