How to Keep the Potato Chip Bag from Ripping all the Way Open

How to keep the potato chip bag from ripping all the way open!

tape a potato chip bag so that it won't rip open

Does anyone else have this problem? Every time I open a bag of potato chips (ahem.. not for myself, of course, for entertaining purposes)..... ha ha ha

A little rip starts like this. No problem. However, it doesn't stay little and it doesn't take much to get it ripped all the way open, as you will see.

Before you know it, it looks like this:

Sometimes, it rips all the way open so that all I have is a little triangle of a bag left. I hate when that happens...

So I thought, 'there must be a way to help prevent that or fix it'. I came up with this... tape. Scotch tape.

This is what I try to do BEFORE a rip happens. I put tape all around the bag about an inch or so from the top... 2 rows.

Duct tape would be even better! I just thought of that.

I started a rip here to see if the tape would stop it and it did.

So now you know how to stop a potato chip bag from ripping all the way open.

Do you have any problems with snack bags ripping open? What do you do about it?

Oh, and I'd LOVE to have you follow me on FACEBOOK.

Best wishes for an enjoyable summer!
