What to do with old windows

We’d love to have you follow us on BLOGLOVIN!!

What to do with old windows? Make a table, of course. That’s what my sister’s granddaughter, Tina, did with a little help from her handy hubby, AJ. Here it is here:

Window Table

It is pretty awesome, isn’t it?
First AJ made a wooden box (it doesn’t look that simple, does it?) and then attached the old window to the box with hinges so that you can access the inside of the box by lifting up the window. Anything can be stored in there – collections, books, etc.

The inside is painted with DIY chalk paint (Martha Stewart recipe) and then buffed up with clear Minwax.
The outside is painted with latex paint.
Aren’t the legs fantastic?

Thanks for viewing, everyone! Have a great week!!

  5. Beautiful table! Yes it has great legs to ;-D Old windows around where I live are really hard to find. Then if you do find one they are real expensive. This would be a great way to make a display case too, for jewelry at a craft fair. Thank you for sharing!
