Daffodils and Violas Center Piece Flowers

Some of the blogs use this centering text so I thought I’d try this, too.
Let’s see how it looks..

I decided to see what else I could do with violas flowers
(Yes, I bought some more).
I hunted around the kitchen cabinets and found some things.
I found this bowl which I thought was
deep enough to plant violas in.
Hmmm.. I thought, what else could I do here?
So I found this nice little glass pedestal plate.

I put the bowl on the plate and said, “Wah Lah

Still not satisfied, I thought, ‘what else could I do?’
I spotted a glass bud vase! Oh, yes!

I put this onto the other 2 pieces of glassware.

I found something I could work with here!
So I took the violas (Johnny jump-ups)
plants

I put the budvase in the center of the bowl and “planted” the Johnny Jump-ups
around the little vase. You can put some little stones in the bottom of
the bowl if you want. I didn’t. I knew they weren’t going to be in the bowl
for longer than a week or so.

Outside the daffodils are in bloom!

This is an unusual daffodil. It has a teeny, tiny cup. Isn’t it cute?

I love daffodils so I’ve planted lots of them around the house. Michele, my niece
horticulturist, helped me pick out some unusual daffodils, like
pink daffodils – they have a pink cup with white petals. It isn’t quite pink.
It’s more like a peach color.  It’s nice, though.
Okay, so I cut some of these and popped
them into the little bud vase in the middle of the Violas.

Since I planted this last week, the daffodils died and I pulled them out but the big surprise is that the

Violas kept growing taller and thicker. See???

  15. Linda, So pretty! What a lovely idea for an arrangement. Violas are one of my favorite flowers and daffodils always makes me think of spring. I work in downtown Seattle and on the first day of spring there are always volunteers hanging out on the street giving everyone a free daffodil. It always makes me happy bringing that daffodil back to work to sit in front of my monitor. So now I always think of the first day of spring when I see daffodils.

Thank you for sharing with us at Photog Show and Tell link party!
