Violas, Pansies, and Violets, oh my!

I bought a market pack of violas (I call them Johnny Jump-ups) at the Garden Show last week. They are such sweet, sweet flowers. I love them!!

My own little Johnnies came up from last year. Boy, are they a delight to see after a cold winter. Okay,we didn’t have a cold winter this year and no real snow to speak of either, but still, it’s great to see their pretty little faces “popping up”.  They even popped up between the bricks of my front walk.

I did a little research on violas and came up with some pretty interesting facts. They are edible and there are all kinds of recipes out there.

Isn’t that sweet beyond sweet? I love these little flowers. They are my favorites!!

Maybe you want to pop over to my Squidoo page to see what I did over there.  Are you getting the idea that I really really want you to see the article I wrote on Johnny Jump-ups  for Squidoo? I spent an entire week working on that thing what with all the research I did, finding all the great links and seeing how Violets and Violas are used around the world. You won’t be disappointed because I put videos on there for crafting with Violas, too.

One last pretty pic…Minnie with the market pack of Violas.
