Flower Show Goodies...

Here are some goodies that we bought at the flower show. So we, Mom, Michele (niece), and myself had all the fun of the show and now we have things to remember our day with.
Mom bought this Cake/Pie server for my sister-in-law. I just love it so much! All of these beads/stones are wired on and it's dishwasher safe, too. You can look at more HERE.

I bought this birdhouse because it has a very small hole for the wrens. The sparrows chase the wrens out of the nestboxes after the wrens have built a wonderful little home. One day I went outside on my way to the car going somewhere or other and I heard sqawking and peeping coming from the tree where all the birdhouses are. I looked over and a sparrow was sitting outside a birdhouse. A little wren was flying back and forth trying to get to the same birdhouse. I sorta knew what was happening so I chased the sparrows away and moved the box about 20 feet away. But the sparrows found it the next day. So then I moved it into the backyard and the little wrens were able to raise their family peacefully.

It's hard to find birdhouses with small holes. So I got this idea. Since I have about 15 birdhouses in all stages of decay out in the tree, I think I'll drill a smallish hole in a piece of wood and glue it to the front of one of the birdhouses so that only the wrens/chickadees, etc. will be able to get into it. I hope I actually get to do it. I have a bag of daffodil bulbs sitting by the front door that never did get planted. Duh. The worst part is that I bought 3 expensive allium bulbs, too. (I put a link here for anyone who wants to see what they look like. They are very tall - about 3 feet and bloom when the tulips bloom in the spring.) I don't even know what happened to them. I can't find them and no one remembers planting them. I did so want more of those in the garden this year. DARN!

This is something I bought for my sister-in-laws birthday but I think I have to get her something else because I really like it on the table in the hallway(in front of the frog thingee that my son got me for Mother's Day a few years ago).
I'm holding this Chickadee Inn with 2 birdhouses on it. I love it. The holes are too big so maybe I'll get around to putting a board with a smaller hole on these two new birdhouses. Oh, the birdhouse tree is in the background on top of my arm!

Best wishes, all. Isn't it nice that the days are getting longer. It feels so wonderful!
