Hello, everyone. Happy Christmas Season to all!!

Such a favorite time of year for me. I remember my father taking me to the Christmas tree lot with so much nostalgia. Even now when I smell a live Christmas tree it takes me right back to that time, that night when my father and I picked out our tree. When I'm back there in my mind I want to savor the moment a little, too. Ah...

Anyway, we have an exciting program tonight along with the Thursday Favorite Things Party where there will be lots and lots of wonderful Christmas inspiration. I'm looking forward to what more I can hurry and make before the 24th of December. One year I was making Christmas tree ornaments on Christmas Eve before going to a family party. They weren't for the party either. I just love making ornaments!! When I was decorating my traditional tree this year I was showing my grown daughter all the handmade ornaments and when I made them, approximately. :) Some go back to when my husband and I were first married.

There are some decorating hints and tips that I think you will love in this first feature. I'm so doing some of these.

  3. We used to always get a real tree when I was a kid. I haven't got a real one in years - ever since a cat I had knocked the whole huge tree over (ornaments and all) when I was 38 weeks pregnant with my oldest. I wanted to cry (and I am sure I did) and the mess was crazy!

I think next year we will get one tho. Last year we had a new rescue dog and he liked to chew on things (he has gotten a bit better) and now this year we have a second rescue dog who we were not sure of with a real tree. My biggest problem was them drinking all the water from it :)

I am at 107 and 108 this week with peppermint whipped cream and roasted sweet dumpling squash.
