Beautiful Paper Hearts for Valentine's

Make some paper hearts with a hidden candy inside!! Do you have some beautiful paper from scrapbooking? I love beautiful paper. This is one holiday that lends itself to paper crafting, Valentine's Day! Here is an idea for treats on Valentine's. These can be adapted also for kids to make for their classmates. The little flowers can be made out of paper and they can use other fun words!

I just made some of these hearts from burlap.

This was a really fun and easy craft. Kids could make these also and blue on other types of embellishments or you can buy the little roses or flowers to put in the corner of the heart.

I've been making these little roses for a few months now. I've made numerous crafts with them and I love to make them while watching TV. It's very relaxing for me AND I'm getting better at it, too!!

I set up a tea party to display the little hearts but they can be displayed in a little bowl and given out as the need arises. Just as cute!

Who doesn't love working with pretty paper?

And the little hearts themselves are easy and fun to make. You don't need the best paper. In fact, you can stamp your own design onto plain white cardstock paper.

Very easy to make the little paper hearts with a hidden chocolate candy inside!
.
Cut out a heart from paper.

and cut a small slit in the top as shown in the picture below..

Put a speck of hot glue on the left side of the heart. It's hard to see but it's there on the left hump of the heart. Now put the right heart hump over it and you get a little pocket inside ..

Pinch the tops together with hot glue as shown. You have made a space for the hidden candy. You need 2 of these to make one heart...

Glue the 2 hearts together leaving one side open to slip in a chocolate heart candy. Hershey kisses will not fit in these paper hearts but these shaped chocolate heart candies fit perfectly.

I make these little "roses" from fabric, ribbon and lace.

Glue on little fabric roses or flowers.

Write sayings on little white pieces of paper with colored markers.

Done!!

Enjoy and have fun, everyone!
