What signals Spring more than baby birds in a nest?
Recipes to Repin And so it is... PINNED.
Here's a cute nest made with spaghetti from Crafty Moods... cute factor 1000!
Jennifer Rizzo covered a vase with a bird's nest and she shows how she did it! Love this!
Kate's Creative Space shows the different ways (and materials) to make decorative bird nests.
The Empress of Dirt has her own way of making bird nests from grapevine wreaths.
Kris Pare has made a darling bird nest also.
One of the biggest nests in the U.S. is the eagle's nests. They can easily weigh 2,000 pounds.
There is ONE egg in the HUGE nest right now and the mother/father is sitting on it. It's visible at night also. It's really interesting when the chicks are born.
Want to see the SMALLEST bird nest? It's the hummingbird nest which is about the size of a walnut.
Here is a video cam for a little nesting pair of hummingbirds in California. It has a black screen right now so I'm not sure if it's working but here is Phoebe's nest cam.
Here is Emma's nest cam. They have a website also - Our Hummingbird Nest. Lots of interesting stuff about hummingbirds on their site.
Do go over to the web cams. I leave these open once the little ones appear. It's so inspiring and uplifting.
Have a great week... are you going to make some bird nest sweets? or a bird nest? Enjoy.
