Beautiful Succulents as Natural Gifts

Giving succulent plants as gifts at Christmas!

I love succulent plants. They are hard to kill because you can forget about watering them and they don't seem to mind. They DO mind being over watered. Don't ask me how I know. :)

This summer I went garage saling quite a bit... okay, every Friday and Saturday. I live in a really good area for tag sales here in Connecticut. Anyway, I bought some china Christmas cups for a song and I knew exactly what I was going to do with them....

Put little succulent plants in them to give at Christmas!!

My daughter, Laura, owner of the greenhouse (look in MENU above) and she is always starting baby succulents from cuttings. Right now her little greenhouse is full of succulents in all stages of development.

She filled these for me.  Thank you, Laura!

Remember the post I did about the table I made from 2 old kitchen stools? Well, here are the succulents in their little teacups on that table.

Here is one of the succulents wrapped in brown paper and tied with string... my favorite things...

Another picture of the succulents on the quirky table I made...

Last year I did a post on giving plants at Christmas. Two of the plants were succulents!

This was so cute! I had fun with this little plant for months. He (yes, I gave him a gender) grew right out the top of the teeny tiny jar - I took the cork out because I figured I'd smother the thing.

Hope everyone is having a creative week! One week to go until Thanksgiving!

I'm guest posting over at Shauna's - The Best Blog Recipes.. Check out what I made for them.

Surprise Recipe! Here's a hint - it's for a party!
