3 - 2 - 1 Cake in One Minute

My daughter-in-law, Kim, sent me a text with the recipe for this 3-2-1 cake last weekend.

NOW WE LOVE THIS LITTLE CAKE

My daughter-in-law texted me a great recipe!! Here it is in a nutshell....

Mix together in a plastic bag:
1 package of angel food cake
1 package chocolate cake mix

Here comes the 3-2-1 part:

Mix and beat together in a small bowl or mug.
3 Tablespoons of mix
2 Tablespoons of water
then
1 Minute in the microwave

3 – 2 - 1

Turn it out onto a plate and add ice cream or cream. Yummy!

The best part of this? If you want a sweet treat, there is always a bag of “mix” that is ready to go in ONE MINUTE!!

Why is this better than most of the other ‘cakes in a mug’?

Most of the other cakes in a mug are just either cake mix and water or Hershey’s unsweetened chocolate powder and water and oil. I’ve made these before and they are a little bit gluey tasting – because there is no EGG to fluff the little cake up.
Guess what? Angel food cake is  ALL EGG WHITE! So when you add the chocolate cake mix with the angel cake mix you are basically adding EGG WHITES to the chocolate cake which is exactly what is needed.
So this little cake is FLUFFY!! It’s wonderful!!
Hope you try it. You’ll like it.

Have fun.

P.S. If you want to make it chocolatier just had a few tablespoons of Hershey’s Unsweetened chocolate powder into mix.
