Faux White Birch Tree Sticks and Winter Window Boxes

Faux White Birch Branches and

Winter Window Boxes

I love white birch trees. They are so beautiful!

But I don't have any ...

I do have lots of trees, though, with branches...

and I have a can of white spray paint...

So I turned ordinary branches into THESE...

I only gave a very light spraying of white spray paint... kind of randomly sprayed so some parts of the branches are not completely white. I didn't want them to look false. Just faux. :)

After I cleaned out the mostly dead plants that were in the window boxes for summer I just stuck these white - ish branches into the dirt.

I actually liked just the plain white branches look but thought it might need something else. I had some real plastic greens... snicker... which I put in with the sticks.

Okay, it's getting there.. how about adding a birdhouse?

Usually, I put live greens and a big red bow on each window box and by January 10th or so, I'm so DONE with looking at them. I think this year I'm not going to have to do anything else to the window boxes until Spring. YAY!!

I'm loving the look of the white branches, a LOT. From the inside of the house, it looks like there is a white birch tree growing outside the window. I love this. Hope you do, too.

Happy Thanksgiving,
