Linda's House

Some pictures of Linda's House..

Here is the view of the dining room from the kitchen.

The view of the kitchen from the dining room. There is the topiary (part of it) that I painted. I put a table there because I ... well, who knows?

Most of the crafting goes on right here on the table. This table and chairs were my mother's. I've had other tables but I like this one the best.

This is the living room mantel. I always keep up the little winter houses because they act like nightlights. I like to be able to walk around the house at night and be able to see. (Too many of those scary movies). :)

I have to do something about these dark beams. They are so outdated!! Anybody have any ideas what to do with these? I remember being so proud of them 25 years ago! My hubby and my brother took big beams and with long screws they attached them to the ceiling. I hacked away at them with an ax for a distressed look and stained them this dark color. I've loved them but it's time for a redo. I think I'll paint them white maybe? Any suggestions?

I love this cow I bought at a tag sale.

Here is the stairway: I bought white, matted frames and put in pictures of family children. At the time I did this there was rose wallpaper on the lower part of the stairway under the chair rail so it went together perfectly. I have since stripped off the wallpaper and painted the hallway but I left the pictures as is.

Way up there at the top of the stairs is one of my very first paintings.

This is another painting of my grandkids when we went to Newport Rhode Island.

Here is a painting of my granddaughter when she was a baby. She wasn't standing in the original picture. I painted out my daughter's arm.

Hope everyone enjoyed looking at these pictures.

  2. What? My house? My kids would laugh out loud at that. It's usually a big jumble. Thanks for the compliment, though. These pictures were taken after a major clean. :)
