How to Make a Magazine on Flipboard

how to make a beautiful magazine on Flipboard

Take a look at this magazine that I made about Easter crafts and food on Flipboard.

Beautiful magazine about Easter

Flipboard is a program that  stores all your web research on a topic or several topics. There are magazine flipboards on travel, food, crafts (ahem), holidays.. and on and on... any subject. They are beautiful to look at. Gorgeous pictures in full magazine format.

Look at these lovely travel magazines:   Our National Parks,  Big's Bucket List, 36 Hours in the U.S.

How about these wonderful FOOD magazines:  In a Soup, Dessert with Two Spoons, Quick Meals.

You can search topics that interest you and see all the amazing magazines, too.

But, YOU can make your own magazine! It's a lot more fun to see your own things in a magazine format!

The very first thing you have to do is sign up for an account, choose some categories that you are interested in and then make some magazines and start flipping (you can flip your own content or other people's content). Other people's content is linked directly back to their page. In order to do this you need the little Flip it marklet for the nav bar. There are also apps available for your phone, tablet, whatever. You can be flipping all over the place. Ha ha ha

In a way, Flipboard is like Pinterest. You gather things you want to keep track of, so that you can get back to them and also share them with others. It's a pretty awesome format and I've been signed up for a while but just haven't gotten over there much. The important thing is to make "magazines" or files of categories like Pinterest and then as you go browsing around you hit the big red F on your nav bar and put things in the correct "magazine". After a while you have a real magazine to flip through and view and share with others. I really love it.

Here is the link to the tutorial about how to make your own magazines...

Hope you make a magazine of your own! It's fun. If you do, send me a link to it. I'd love to see if you make one. You can leave a comment here or email me...  linbouf@gmail.

Have a great Sunday.
