Individual Lasagna Cups

How to Make Individual Lasagna Servings in Cupcake Pans

I had so much success with the Tiny Chicken Pot Pies that I decided to try little tiny lasagna servings since we all love lasagna and wouldn't it be easy to freeze these little luscious things and pull a few out when you need them? So here is the recipe and how I made them.

We made them with wontons, which is like a lasagna noodle but it's square and flexible. I liked working with it a lot.. no cooking of the noodles and they are the perfect size for the cupcake tins.

Spray the cupcake tins with some kind of spray. We use olive oil spray.

What You Need

1 lb ground beef
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
8 oz ricotta cheese
1-2 bags shredded mozzarella cheese - we love the extra cheese  :)
2 packages of wontons

Brown the meat and put in your favorite spaghetti sauce. Let it bubble for about 10 minutes. Then you are ready to go.

1.  Preheat oven to 375

These are the wontons. Very flexible little squares of pasta.

Here's the cupcake tin:

Put a wonton square in the bottom of every cupcake pocket. Then put a tablespoon of meat and sauce on top. Then I continued to layer cheese, ricotta, wontons and sauce until the cupcake tin was full.

Then we popped them in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and it's heated through.

Here you go....

I freeze these separately and then place them in a plastic freezer bag so that I can pull out one or two whenever I need them.

This is such a neat and easy way to make lasagna. We ran out of wantons before we ran out of anything else. Next time I'm going to have about 4 packages of wantons, lots more spaghetti sauce, too, so I can just keep going.

I loved making these....

 Thanks for visiting.

  1. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This is genious! YOU KNOW I am making these this weekend. Love it! We've been wanting to make an Asian dinner and thought about wonton soup so I'm glad you shared these. I didn't know they came like this. It's perfect.
Glad to have you visit the shop. I couldn't stay away from that little shop for too long. I had Anita print little postcards of it a while back and I mail them with almost all the tags I give away, so my readers have grown very familiar with that red and white awning. :) How's it going with your blog designing?
