Wreaths So Merry

10 Wreaths So Merry is part of our Twelve Days of Christmas.
As part of my 12 Days of Christmas here is Day 10 – All these wreaths are from our family or friends. I only have 8 wreaths here because Laura, daughter, did an herb wreath and a square wreath which she did tutorials for so I’m going to show them over the next few days. I love the herb wreath!
BASKET “WREATH”
I had bought this basket at Joann’s last year and hadn’t done anything to it. I couldn’t think of what to do with it, really. Then a few weeks ago I took the basket back to Joann’s to see if I could find something to fill it with. It didn’t take long to find the right greens… oh, and these bells.

My front door and shutters are pink. It’s not that bright, I promise. It’s more like like a mauve.

APPLE WREATH
Here is a wreath I’ve had for a while. It can be put up year round but it looks so pretty at this time of year.

PEACE WREATH
My daughter, Laura, bought this little wreath thinking it was a silver bead stem and when she got it home she was surprised to see it was a wreath so she hung it on a nail and then added a “PEACE” sign that she bought at Walmart. That was easy!

BEACHY CHRISTMAS WREATH
When Laura, daughter, bought her house she knew she wanted to decorate with a beachy theme. So she painted the dark wood slats in her living room white and it looks so much like a beach cottage now. (You’ll see the pictures when I show her mantel). Anyway, I made this wreath for her living room. Then she doctored it up with some shiny Christmas balls and a burlap bow for Christmastime. Nice, huh?

MY MOM’S BEAUTIFUL ROSE WREATH
My Mom had this wreath in the basement. Since it didn’t go with her new beautiful mantel, I sprayed parts of it white and glitterized it. I love taking something that’s seen better days and making it into something beautiful. Does anyone else like doing that?

PINE WREATH WITH PINECONES
Laura made this wreath from some pine branches that came down with the hurricane. We picked them up off the side of the road. I love doing that – getting free stuff. :)
I had a grapevine wreath hanging around and she stuck the pine branches into the grapevine wreath. Believe it or not, it’s holding up great, no glue or anything!

She also stuck some holly in here and there. Lovely berries – also came from the hurricane.

Hope you enjoyed seeing all our wreaths. Stay tuned for tomorrow when I’ll show Laura’s herb wreath and square wreath and how she made them.
Best blessings and fun for Christmastime.
