Pumpkin Square Wreath

Fall Square Wreath
It’s almost too late for this wreath but I wanted to share it anyway so here it is.
I did a tutorial on how to make a square wreath out of an old picture frame HERE.You just take an old picture frame and cover it with fabric or paint it, etc. and then decorate it with stuff you have laying around the house.
I love making square wreaths. I have lots of old frames in a closet and it makes the perfect no-cost basis for a door hanging. I wrap mine with fabric and I have a lot of fabric so this is a no cost craft for me. I think an old frame could be painted and it would work out just as well…or for that matter, not painted and just decorated. I have to try that. I think a lot more of the frame would have to be covered with stuff, though. It’s SO FUN!

Michele and I made these little felt birds last year and I’m finding uses for them all over the place.
Dream Wreath
I had this fabric laying around – it’s not the perfect pumpkin fabric but it had orange in it – and I had a roll of cotton crosheen which is just a ball of thread near the sewing machine. A ball of string would be fine also. Anyway, I put the two together and I had a PUMPKIN!  I’ve seen fabric covered toilet paper rolls on the blogs but a tp roll would have been too large anyway.
I covered the ball of thread with the fabric and tucked it in the top and added a “stem” stick. This is super duper easy and quick….and fun.
Pumpkin
I had this sign hanging up somewhere in the front hall. I grabbed it and hung it on one corner of the frame.

And these leaves in the bottom corner….

I hope you liked this wreath. It’s almost too late but I wanted to share it anyway.
If you have a collection of something like cats or owls, this would be a good base to put them on.
