Porch Makeover into Girl’s Pretty Bedroom

Here are the pictures of the made over porch at my sister’s house for her granddaughter. This is the porch before:
And here is Melissa’s new bedroom!!!

The electronics… gotta love ‘em.

Here is how the Bird and Tree Mural were integrated into Melissa’s room. It looks like part of a fairy tale scene, doesn’t it?

The pretty bed and above the bed is an embroidered quilt wallhanging she made for Melissa when Melissa was a baby. I started one, too, but didn’t finish it. I really don’t like the tedium of embroidery. Carol finished one of the squares for me.

Carol painted a topiary on this cupboard years ago but it’s still like new. Yep, I call my Carol’s house CAMELOT (you know Camelot, where everything is perfect and it rains only at night, by 9 P.M. the moonlight must appear, and the leaves whisk right away completely). These are not exact quotes from the song.
The dress hanging on the cupboard is my sister’s wedding dress. They washed it in the WASHING MACHINE (what were they thinking) and it came out great.
My sister painted the stool also. I should do a post on all the furniture painting my sister did and it’s considerable because, you know, once she got going she painted everything. Right, Carol? hee hee

Here is the embroidery my sister did for me and I turned into into a little quilty picture.
Thank you, Carol.  (You don’t help me blog but you are still a good egg!)
