Buttons and hearts

Hi, everyone. It seems I cannot get enough of Valentine’s Day decorations and etc. My friend and neighbor, Terry, made some of these really cute, candy filled rolls so I told her I would put them on my blog. Here they are:
028aaccShe took toilet paper rolls (so handy in every way) and filled them with candy and little lovely sayings, and then rolled them with pretty heart tissue paper, and then put ribbons on the ends to seal. I love the curling ribbon. I try to put it on everything. My sister, too.

See the pretty envelopes? I made them from pretty scrapbooking papers. I took apart an envelope to see how it was made and to used it as a pattern. I had to shrink the pattern down a little because the paper wasn’t big enough (these are small envelopes – 3 1/2 by 4 1/2).

I tried gluing the envelopes together but it was a complete mess. Then I thought of my sewing machine and in no time they were all stitched up. Much quicker and no mess either.

I have lots of pretty scrapbooking butterflies so I added a butterfly to seal this envelope. I love it.

I sealed this envelope with a felt heart – I bought these felt hearts from Joann’s after Valentine’s Day last year.

It’s all about love, isn’t it?
Wishing you all a wonderful day… Linda
