Handmade Cabin Furniture

Here are some pictures of my nephew, Michael, my brother’s kid, making furniture for his cabin in the Adirondacks. He has made some of the most gorgeous furniture. He even put in log stairs going up to the second floor of the cabin that are exquisite. No matter what Michael works on it comes out perfect. Is he a perfectionist? Yes.
This little table is so darling! Michael said it was really easy to make, too.

Here are some pictures of beds that Michael made for the cabin.

Here are the posts for the beds. He ground down the ends of the round beams so that they would fit snugly into the head and footboards. He  said he had to grind down 24 of these!!

Here he is grinding holes for the posts to fit into.

Here is the bed put together. Oh, by the way..Mike also put up these pine boards on the walls of this bedroom. Then he whitewashed them.

Doesn’t this look cozy?

Now a bedroom needs a bureau, right? So he had to make one of those, too.

These pictures aren’t the best but see the log on the side of the bureau?
This picture shows the whitewashed walls.
Good job, Mike.
All this talent in one person. Unbelievable.
Best wishes, everyone. Linda

  5. Yes it looks sooo cozy!!!What a wonderful talent to be able to make such wonderful useful things that over time will become heirlooms for his family. I hope he put his signature somewhere on them...like a wood burn mark or carved mark would be so treasured in years to come =)
