Spring rose wreath

I took this idea from the Creative Cure Blog. It’s made with tulle and netting. Then my mom had some silk roses hanging around that she didn’t want so I put them on this wreath and some white silk hydrangeas.  Michele made one with daisies for her mom (my sister-in-law) – now that is mind boggling. :) Michele is my brother’s kid.

It takes lot and lots of tulle, LOTS. Like 10 yards. We had coupons for Joann’s which helped a little and we used a white round styrofoam wreath as a base. We tied the tulle on and used hot glue to keep it there. Mom had some white netting which we threw on also to relieve the tulle look. Then I just glued on the peachy roses and white hydrangea flowers.

Is this fluffy or what??

I’m a little surprised it turned out this well. As I was working on the tulle, it wasn’t cooperating very well.  Well, it’s just like Hank (impressionist painter/teacher says) – “every part of a painting doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s the picture as a WHOLE  that counts”.

It looks better in person. The sun was bright from the left side so it whited out that side of the picture. Oh, well, you get the idea.
When I get a picture of Michele’s I’ll put it on here, too.
Best wishes.
Linda
