Stuff I've been working on...

I just love this book! I've been having lots of fun making small motifs, which I call doilies - I love doilies - from this book. The instructions are so clear and easy for me - a real beginner at reading crochet directions. What's fun is that I actually CAN read and then crochet from these directions. This is big, very big. :) It's so satisfying. However, I bought another book which I'm having some problems reading.... 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet and there are such cute, cute flowers in there. I just can't make heads or tails out of some of these directions. Oh,well.

Here is a book I took out of my own library here in town. It's brand new. Yea! I'm working on a crochet butterfly from this book. I've already made a mistake but I might be able to fudge it. Best wishes all, Linda

  2. I LOVE THEM!!!! I want to learn to crochet, but I have to finish my current knitting projects first and then I'm going to ask one of the women in my knitting/crochet group to teach me so I can learn to incorporate the two together and make cooler things. :)

  6. I'm going to have to add this book to my collection. If that's your butterfly in the picture I certainly can't see any mistake. I also love doilies and small motifs.

  7. What a great blog. I absolutely love the idea of two sisters working on a blog together. Can I have a best friend sister, please? Thanks so much for stopping by my blog to look at my Valentine heart. Have a great February day!

  8. NO, that is not my butterfly in the picture. That is showing the butterfly in the book, Crochet Adorned. I just looked on Amazon and they do not have a "search inside this book" for the Crochet Adorned book. Hope they don't mind. I don't usually do this unless there is a "search inside" on Amazon. Oh, well. No, my butterfly is the one underneath ... the one that is only partially constructed. I WISH it were the green one on the apron!! ha ha
