The Robins are back in Connecticut!!

Two weeks ago my niece, Michele, said she saw robins in with a cluster of other types of birds in Darien, where she works. The robins are back! Yea! I really love crows best but when the robins arrive it seems that Spring is here. What I don't understand is that they leave during September and October when the weather is fairly mild and then come back for the 2 hardest months of winter, January and February. I remember a few years ago the robins arrived on January 3rd! I don't know how many worms they are catching in this weather, although today was in the 50's, very mild, but rainy and windy. I got my Mom out to the grocery store (like anybody cares). duh. Searching for things to say here. Oh, and went out to lunch with some friends from a chorus I used to belong to.

Thought I would post some fabric that I want to make a few purses out of. I really like it. Then I added a seastar on top of it. I'd like to add some seastars to some pocketbooks and see what they look like....maybe behind some clear plastic or something sheer. Just a thought.

Best wishes, everyone.

  3. YES! As I sat on the sofa with my laptop on Sunday.....I too heard that familiar chattering outside. I tried to snap some photos of the Robin's as they were taking a bath in my fish pond. Since my pond is only about 10 feet from my sliding glass door, everytime I moved I scared them away. A true harbinger (sp??) of spring! Yeah! I hope to post the photos soon.
