Mom's 100th Birthday

I want to apologize for not posting in so so long. I was so overwhelmed with all the stuff we had to do to get ready for this big party for my Mom's 100th birthday. It was so lovely, though. We had people from all over, California, Colorado, Florida, and Pennsylvania. My cousin called from Colorado and asked if he could come to the party.

Mom with a special purse that my niece's bought her. It is made with lamb's ears leaves and all real flowers.

One placecard that my daughter, Laura, made for the kids (13 of them). Each one was different. Oh, and the kid's favors were gumball machines filled with jelly beans. Then Laura tied a bow with the curly ribbon. She's so darn creative!

Anyway, since everything was a secret until the party, I hadn't been able to post what I was up to. I wanted to take pictures of all the little placecards I made but it just didn't happen. I have some extras that I will take pictures of and post them. Also, for the men's placecards, I tried to make them personal to them but also old-fashioned. Like for my cousin, Ray, who was a mailman I printed out a picture from an internet search of an old postal truck and mailman. My cousin's husband was an EMS driver and I found a very old picture of a Red Cross truck and printed that out. Will post them also.

Here are some pictures of my Mom. She looked so darn cute that day. The night before, Saturday night, I had everyone from out of town here for a dinner/picnic. Thankfully, it was a good day so everything dried up from all the rain we got! Most people were outside and my two sons got a roaring campfire going.

I think we're going to have a Fourth of July picnic, too, since we have the outside all set up anyway. We can grill this time instead of catering.

Take care and I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Linda
