My grandfather made a violin!

Can you believe this? I remember my grandfather making a violin for my father! What made him think he could make a violin? But he made one. He made one for my father who played violin. My father played violin with his brothers and sister in a little band for silent movies in the 1920's before talking movies came out.

Anyway, here is the violin he made. My father used to play it all the time.

I just thought someone might want to hear a story like that. I'm going to have my daughter put strings on it. It currently hangs on the wall in my dining room.

Have a great day, everybody.

  3. That beautiful violin would be hanging quite proudly on my wall. I can't play so I would want to see it every single day.
